After taking the plunge to start a blog, I just hope I have enough interesting and entertaining things to share with all you cyber bloggers out there!
I am a mature lady in her (almost mid) 50’s, who discovered writing five years ago and aspires to improve until some day, I may find somebody who enjoys reading my ramblings.
Apart from that, I am a mother of four boys, a grand mother of 2 delightful children, with another 2 to be born in the summer. I am a self employed cleaner and in a previous life (before redundancy) have worked in the Courier industry and the Travel industry; both of which I enjoyed.
I am divorced from the father of my boys, who I met in Israel – in a Kibbutz and now live with my partner and soul mate Jan – who I met on an online dating agency 10 years ago.
I love to travel, and thanks to my divorce settlement (which took 12 years to come to fruition) I now have a travel fund, which I am going to use to see some of the world before I get too old and decrepit – so watch this space!
Last year I achieved one of my dreams by visiting New York. This year I am going to my half sisters wedding in Mexico and in January I am going on an escorted tour (Jules Verne, no less) to Cuba on my own. I forgot to mention that my lovely man will not fly, so alas, some places I have to go without him.

Thanks for your encouragement Jenny; I have taken your advice and published my first post, now I seem to have gone “live”! I was going to run it past you first but decided to take the plunge. It’s rather nerve racking though, I have to say.
